Farmers Market Fund is dedicated to providing low-income, elderly and under-served populations greater access to locally grown foods. We work to connect underserved communities to local food and support farms by incentivizing the purchase of locals foods and bringing more money into Oregon farmers markets.
Our largest program, Double Up Food Bucks (DUFB), provides SNAP recipients with a dollar for dollar match up to $10 to purchase fruits and vegetables on each farmers market day. Double Up Food Bucks is offered at 50 farmers markets across the state, and also provides incentives for SNAP recipients purchasing Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) shares through 12 Oregon produce farms.
Through DUFB, as well as additional incentive programming, such as market vouchers, and strategic partnerships with farmers markets and community organizations, Farmers Market Fund focuses on solutions that help families bring home healthy foods, support Oregon farms, and keep more food dollars in the local economy.
